Thank you for the post. I particularly like your “think like a burglar” suggestion. I often recommend people attempt to break into their home to test for vulnerable points. However, I would caution people considering a DIY system. Make sure you do your research and get lots and lots of references. Also, don’t purchase any security technology without a six month money back guarantee. This will make sure what you buy actually does what you need it to do when you install it.
